International Family Day 2023: Theme and Significance


Every year 15th May is observed as International Family Day to highlights the importance of families that are the basic unit of society and also to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic, and demographic processes affecting families. The International Family Day was decided by the United Nations in

1993 General Assembly. This day is also used used to showcase how a strengthened family unit eventually helps strengthen societies and nations. This current pandemic situation is the best time to thank your family for your support.

International Family Day 2023 Theme

This year marks the 28th anniversary of the Copenhagen Declaration and Beijing Platform for Action come at the time of one of the most challenging global health and social crises. In recognition of that this year's theme is "Families Development: Copenhagen & Beijing + 25". Through this theme United Nations is attempting to re-visualize the seized development of families, lacking which has dispersed our society apart. A family can repatriate our sorrows and heal our pain and does not allow us to sit back in the time of trial.
